I can see that I am a member of a twibe. Why aren’t my tweets showing up in the twibe’s tweet stream?
If your tweets are not showing up on your twibe’s tweet stream, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
1. Twibes works with Twitter’s search function in order to populate your twibe’s tweet stream. Twitter search limitations do not allow us to search for members and tweets quickly enough to add them to the stream in real time. A new set of tweets is added every 60 seconds. Make sure your browser has stayed open long enough to allow for at least one 60-second cycle.
2. Have you marked your Twitter updates as “protected”? If so, they will not appear on Twitter searches, and Twibes cannot capture them – even if you use your twibe’s keywords and tags.
If your posts are protected and you want to join a group, you should un-protect temporarily, tweet to join, then re-protect. Subsequently, any tweets meant for the twibe can be posted using the twibe tweet box, as protected tweets posted from there WILL show up on twibe page.
3. The correct search tags might not have been included in your tweets. Please take a close look at your tags and ensure you are using them correctly. You can find out what your twibe’s tags are by looking just above the tweet stream. (Tip: Tags are not required for your post to show up if tweeting from the twibe tweet box.)
Also, make sure they did not “fall off” your post because of the 140-character limit!
4. The tweet stream might not update because Twitter search is down or delayed, and therefore member’s tweets cannot be found by Twibes. However, tweets posted directly from the twibe page will show up in the twibe tweet stream as well as on Twitter immediately.
