Twibes Help‎ > ‎

What if the twibe can’t find my tweets?

Twibes works with Twitter’s search function in order to populate your twibe’s tweet stream. The tweet stream cannot update when Twitter search is down, because member’s tweets cannot be found by Twibes. A new set of tweets is added every 60 seconds. Make sure your browser has stayed open long enough to allow for at least one 60-second cycle.

Also, Twitter can and will ban people from search results for one reason or another. When this happens, we can’t find your tweets.

Twitter has this support post on the topic. Please fill out this form and specify “Something’s Broken” regarding “Search/Trends.”

Lastly, make sure you are not posting your tweets from a “protected” profile. If you have, they will not appear on twitter searches, and twibes cannot capture them – even if you use your twibe’s keywords and tags.

If your posts are protected and you want to join a group, you should un-protect temporarily, tweet to join, then re-protect. Subsequently, any tweets meant for the twibe can be posted using the twibe tweet box, as protected tweets posted from there WILL show up on twibe page.
